2021 NCESA Venue Instructions TLYC

Hi everyone--We are so excited to host you all this week on beautiful Torch Lake! Below is

important information for arriving at TLYC as well as a few other general items.

Arrivals

Boats can be brought down the driveway into the parking lot upon arrival to be rigged. Vehicles

used to trailer boats can stay if needed for stepping the mast, otherwise, we ask that you move

your vehicles up to the parking area which is in the power cut across the road from the club.

This area will be marked with signs. We need as much space as we can get.

Parking During the Event

Only race committee and authorized vehicles will be allowed to come down the driveway to park

on race days. All competitors and spectators will need to park in the parking area in the power

cut across the road from the club. There will be a shuttle to take people from the power cut

down to the club, otherwise you can walk down.

Boat Storage

We will attempt to dry sail all boats, but it’s going to be tight. There will be a limited number of

lifts available first come, first served. In the event that several boats must be wet sailed, there is

a lot for trailer parking approximately ½ mile south of the yacht club. This lot will be marked.

This lot can also be used for trailer parking for powerboats. We appreciate your patience in

advance as we manage the limited space we have.

Dock Usage

Dock space is limited at TLYC. The main dock and dock on the north side of the club are

reserved for race committee. The “T” dock near the launch area is reserved for water taxi and

designated follow boats.

Food

If you purchased meals, check in with the kitchen personnel when you go through the line to eat.

Note that on Friday and Saturday lunch will be on the water. If you purchased lunches these

days, you will need to put together your own lunches--the club will have multiple lines with

sandwich items, chips, fruit, cookies, as well as bags for you to assemble and go. Please plan

accordingly. Additional meals can be purchased on site at the registration area.

Apparel

If you purchased apparel and chose “pick up at event” your items will be available near the

registration area. The online regatta store will be open during the event and for several days after

for you to purchase gear and have it sent directly to you.

Saturday Night Party

We have about 40 tickets left for the Saturday night party. These are available for purchase

online as well as on site at the registration area.

Club Policies

Please observe the club policies of no alcohol past the designated signs, as well as no dogs
