  14 to 16 September 2018

 

All one-design classes (5 or more boats), junior classes, Portsmouth handicap, and PHRF handicap divisions are invited for a weekend of racing and parties for your enjoyment.  Friday evening “welcome aboard” party, all-weekend beverages, plus Saturday and Sunday breakfast are included in your entry fee.  Saturday night buffet with live music and daily lunches will be available for an additional fee.  Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing.  Appendix V, Alternative Penalties will be in effect.

 

Divisions and Number of Races:

PHRF Division (cabin boats) – 5 scheduled races

One-Design Classes (5 boats min.) – 5 scheduled races

Portsmouth Division (all one-designs with fewer than 5 boats) – 5 scheduled races

Long Distance division (all types allowed) – 2 scheduled races on separate course

Junior Division (Opti, BIC, Laser) – number of races TBD, course TBD

 

Courses:

All divisions, except long distance, will sail windward-leeward or Olympic modified courses targeting 40 – 50 minutes in length.  Long distance pursuit races will be 2 – 3 hours in length.

Friday, 14 September; 6 – 9 PM registration, welcome party, CSA clubhouse

 

Saturday, 15 September

9 – 9:30 AM registration, CSA clubhouse

8 AM free breakfast, clubhouse

10:00 Competitor’s Meeting, pavilion

11:00 First Warning signal, first race (lunch break TBD, additional races to follow)

11:30 Long Distance start (lunch on water)

6:00 PM Buffet dinner, party and music

 

Sunday, 16 September

8 AM free breakfast, clubhouse

9:30 First Warning signal, Long Distance start

12:30 PM end racing and lunch

2:30 Awards Presentation
