Dear NCESA Members,
It’s almost mid-winter, which means we are THIS CLOSE to kicking off spring sailing! As such, there are a few housekeeping items; make sure you renew your NCESA membershipand submit your NORs for upcoming regattas. The membership part is important as we are hosting a FREE Rules Seminar in April for all members (yes, even Associate Members), sponsored by the E-100 Endowment Fund.
While there are lots of New Rules Seminars going on this year, this one is being tailored specifically to E Scows. We are thrilled to partner with Dave Perry as he is one of the sport’s leading coaches and rules experts, serving on the US Sailing Appeals Committee and as the Rules Advisor for the US Sailing Team at the 2024 Olympics Games. Dave has appeared twice as the Blue Chip mystery guest and is working closely with the Engagement Committee to craft the seminar around situations we face most frequently as a fleet. You can expect coverage of the changes in rules and situations that happen beat-by-beat throughout a race. Attendees can also submit rules-specific questions ahead of time.
This is a two night affair and a great chance to come together as a boat or a fleet. I know Team Apogee is planning a watch party and we encourage you to consider the same! To register, click on over to the E Scow site.
Florida and South Carolina have sailing coming up in March, so consider checking the bearings on your trailers and loading up for these upcoming events:
