Hello Skippers,

 

The 2021 Wawasee E Scow Open Regatta is just about 90 days away and REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN. Hard to believe what we have all endured the past twelve months but I’m sure we can all agree we would like to get on the water for some competitive sailing. The Lake Wawasee Yacht Club is again inviting you, your crew and your family to Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, IN for our 2021 Regatta. The races will be on Saturday June 5th and Sunday June 6th. Our goal is to make this Regatta feel like those of the past but we ask for your patience as there will likely be some modifications to our procedures forced upon us by the pandemic. 

 

All of the pertinent information is on the attached Notice of Race. The cost will be $155 (which includes continental breakfast and lunch both days and libations throughout the weekend). Titos has again agreed to be a sponsor.  A catered dinner on Saturday night will be available for purchase at registration ($TBD) as will reasonably priced Regatta T-shirts.  We will accept cash, checks or credit cards at Friday night registration. Please feel free to forward the NOR to any potential participants or crew who may not be on this distribution.

 

After a necessary cancellation last year we certainly hope to see you back at Wawasee in 2021. We would ask that everyone visit our website at www.wawaseeyachtclub.com and complete the online registration form (In the Regattas Tab) at your earliest convenience so everyone can see what the competition is going to look like. This will also give us a good idea of our housing requirements. As in the past our goal is to provide housing for each and every boat. Given the ongoing pandemic our housing offerings may be more limited but we will try our best. First come first serve so don’t delay. After you have registered, if you have a specific housing request you can let me know at the contact info below.
